Grands Vins de France

Client: LIDL Nederland

Briefing

At the end of the summer in 2014, the ‘Grand Vins de France Weeks’ took place at the Lidl. Reason for this was to make the strong price-quality ratio of wines in the supermarket visible. During these two weeks, Lidl sold more than fifty French wines, including Puligny – Montrachet, Côte Rôtie, Château Giscours and other grand crus for a competitive price. ‘The Grand Vins de France Weeks’ needed the right attention before it began, for this reason the Dutch wine drinkers could get familiar with Grand Vins. so that Dutch wine drinkers could get familiar with it.

Concept

Good wine deserves a good presentation. We organized a reputable press tasting, with the best sommelier of the Netherlands: Jan Willen van der Hek.

Result

The wine tasting was well attended by wine journalists and bloggers. There has been a lot of attention for ‘The Grands Vins de France Weeks’ in national and regional newspapers, both online and offline. Furthermore, there has been a lot of online traffic about the tasting, especially at websites of wine journalists and wine bloggers.
